Installation is where a good design becomes real — or falls apart
A perfect design still depends on the quality of the installation and, just as importantly, the commissioning that follows. Commissioning is the careful setting-up that happens once the hardware is on the wall, and it's where much of the real-world difference between a good and a poor system lives — completely invisible once the covers are on. We take both seriously.
A clean, considered installation
Every installation is carried out by our own qualified engineers, working to a standard we're happy to have inspected:
- Correct unit positioning — indoor units placed for even air distribution, outdoor units sited for airflow, serviceability and minimal noise to you and your neighbours.
- Properly sized, sealed refrigerant pipework — pipe runs sized to the system and the distance between units, pressure-tested and evacuated (vacuumed) to remove moisture and air before charging.
- Condensate drainage with correct falls — so water clears away cleanly and reliably, with no leaks or blockages down the line.
- Neat electrical connection — safe, compliant wiring and isolation, tidily finished.
- Respect for your property — protected work areas and a clean site at the end of every day.
Commissioning — the step that makes it perform
Once installed, we don't just switch the system on. We commission it:
- Refrigerant charge weighed in precisely — the system holds exactly the right amount of refrigerant for its actual pipe run length. We weigh the charge rather than estimate it, because an incorrect charge quietly destroys efficiency and reliability.
- Performance verification — we check operating pressures, temperatures and airflow to confirm the system is performing to its design in both cooling and heating modes.
- Controls configured to how you live — operating modes, temperature response, scheduling and any smart controls set up for your actual routine, so the system runs efficiently by default rather than fighting itself.
- Full safety and leak checks — completing our obligations under F-Gas regulations, which govern the safe handling of refrigerants.
Handled legally and safely, start to finish
Refrigerant handling in the UK is regulated for good reason, and all our engineers are F-Gas registered [via REFCOM — confirm]. It's the equivalent of Gas Safe for air conditioning: proof the work is done by people qualified and legally permitted to do it. It's a standard every AC installer should meet, and one you should always check for.
